Energy and Power Subcommittee Holds Hearing on Minority Participation in Energy Sector Jobs

WASHINGTON, D.C. – April 24, 2015 – (RealEstateRama) — U.S. Representative Bobby L. Rush (D-Ill.) led the Energy & Commerce Subcommittee on Energy and Power hearing about the 21st Century Energy Workforce Development Jobs Initiative. Rush introduced the bill in the 113th Congress as H.R. 4526 and it has been adopted into the full committee’s energy initiatives. Rush’s bill seeks to require the Secretary of Energy to establish and carry out a comprehensive program to improve education and training for energy-related jobs particularly for minority participants.
