Chicago Agent magazine recognizes 15 winners honored by their peers

Chicago, IL – November 5, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — Chicago Agent magazine honored 15 exceptional companies and individuals on Nov. 3 in a ceremony celebrating the magazine’s fifth annual Agents’ Choice Awards. The awards ceremony event was held at Aquae Sulis in Lincoln Park. Over 150 guests were in attendance, representing and supporting each of the nominees.

The Agents’ Choice Awards winners were selected through an online poll where Realtors were asked to pick their favorites in a number of categories. The nominees represent the top vote earners in each category, and the winners received the most votes overall. Thousands of responses were calculated from agents across the Chicagoland area to determine the results, with the respondent numbers increasing exponentially each year as the awards roll around.

This year, Chicago Agent introduced a number of new award categories into the mix. Old favorites such as “Lender of the Year” and “Best Brokerage Website” remained, and new honors such as “Rookie of the Year” and “Charitable Service Award” were added. One new category, “Best Dressed,” gained a lot of attention prior to the winners being announced. On Nov. 2, Curbed Chicago launched it’s own “Election Day Poll,” and asked its readers to pick the best dressed out of the three nominated agents: Lauren Mitirck of Jameson Real Estate, Jason Beckstrom of Conlon: A Real Estate Company and Danny Glick of @properties. Just like the official Agents’ Choice Awards, Chicago.Curbed.com visitors also crowned Mitrick their winner.

Some high-profile agents were honored as winners during the evening, including Millie Rosenbloom of Baird & Warner, who went home with the award for Industry MVP in the City award. “This award is special because it is an honor to be recognized by my peers,” said Rosenbloom. In the suburbs, the new MVP award went to Lori Neuschel of @properties North Shore. “It is an honor and a privilege to be recognized by my peers as an agent whom they feel brings value to our profession,” said Neuschel. “I am blessed to have found a career that I absolutely love, and to work daily with agents who continue to raise the bar of excellence and professionalism in our industry.”

All  of the winners will be featured in the Nov. 8 issue of Chicago Agent, and also will receive an award with their own name or company name engraved. Photos of each winner were captured as they accepted their awards, and will appear in the Nov. 8 issue as well. The names of the nominees will also be recognized in the Agents’ Choice Awards issue.

“This is always one of our most popular issues and events,” said Anne Brindle, publisher of Chicago Agent magazine. “This year, we’ve really gained momentum with our press coverage and industry support. With this being the fifth year for our awards, everyone knew they were coming and were really excited to see the results.”
