Agents Take the Helm at RE/MAX Countryside in Hoffman Estates

CHICAGO, IL – January 31, 2012 – (RealEstateRama) — RE/MAX Countryside at 1634 W. Algonquin Road, Hoffman Estates, Ill., is now under new ownership. Enrique Aguilar and Sergio Cardoso, who have been affiliated with the office as agents, purchased the successful RE/MAX franchise in December from former owners, Pete Simatos, Anton Simatos and David and Karen Hudachko.

“One of my goals has always been to own a company, and this is now a dream come true,” said Aguilar. “This profession requires lots of hard work, and it also provides great satisfaction knowing you are helping families achieve the dream of owning a home. I could not have done this without the unconditional support of my family.”

Between them, Cardoso and Aguilar have more than two decades of experience in real estate brokerage. Aguilar has worked in the real estate business since 2000. Cardoso first began selling real estate in 1998.

The pair’s goal now is to grow the roster of agents at RE/MAX Countryside. The Hoffman Estates office today features a staff of seven real estate agents.

“We are looking for agents who share our commitment to customer service. There are so many clients in the market that need strong, experienced and professional agents who will guide them through every step of the home buying or selling process. That holds true whether the client is a first-time home buyer or a seasoned investor who has purchased dozens of homes,” said Aguilar.
The new owners aren’t the only change at RE/MAX Countryside. In October of last year, the office moved to its current location, which provides easier access for clients and enhanced exposure to potential customers.

Given the current market situation, some might shy away from assuming ownership of a real estate office at this time, but Aguilar and Cardoso take a different view. They see opportunities for agents to succeed today if they adapt to a market that has changed. For many agents, that means working with distressed properties, helping buyers and sellers complete short sales or assisting families in search of a foreclosure property that meets their needs.

“There is no doubt in my mind that RE/MAX is the leading real estate company in the U.S. With all the resources and technology it offers, RE/MAX empowers its affiliates to be as successful as they want,” said Cardoso, who will serve as the managing broker.

Cardoso has long been preparing for the day when he would operate his own real estate brokerage. After coming to the United States from Mexico in the 1990s, he worked as a sales associate for a national home improvement chain while taking classes to earn his real estate license. The chance to operate his own RE/MAX Northern Illinois franchise means reaching a long-time goal.

RE/MAX has been the leader in the northern Illinois real estate market since 1989. The RE/MAX Northern Illinois network, headquartered in Elgin, Ill., consists of 2,100 sales associates and 110 individually owned and operated RE/MAX offices that provide a full range of brokerage services throughout the northern one-third of Illinois. Its www.illinoisproperty.com and www.remax.com websites are leaders in consumer visits among real estate franchise brands. Its mobile search, m.illinoisproperty.com, allows users to conduct real estate searches on any mobile device with Internet access. The northern Illinois network is part of RE/MAX LLC, a global real estate organization with 89,000 sales associates in 85 nations.
