Rep. Mike Bost (IL-12) announced a grant in the amount of $3,587,052 to reconstruct a stretch of Front Street in East St. Louis. The grant was issued by the Economic Development Administration (EDA) under the Department of Commerce.

The Justice Department announced today that the owners and operators of the Williams Trailer Court mobile home park in Marion, Illinois, had agreed to pay $75,000 to settle allegations that they discriminated against African Americans and families with children, in violation of the federal Fair Housing Act. The settlement was approved today by the U. S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois.

The strong summer housing market continued in July as home sales and median prices posted robust gains while the time it took to sell a home declined, according to the Illinois Association of REALTORS. Statewide home sales (including single-family homes and condominiums) in July 2015 totaled 16,901 homes sold, up 8.0 percent from July 2014 when 15,644 homes sold

Illinois Environmental Protection Agency Director Lisa Bonnett has issued an order to seal the property identified as Advanced Asymmetrics, Inc., located at 109 South Kossuth, in Millstadt, St. Clair County, from public access due to health and safety concerns from chemicals remaining in the abandoned laboratory.
