Chicago, IL – August 25, 2010 – (RealEstateRama) — Jaclyn Janssen has joined the national real estate law firm Pircher, Nichols & Meeks as a litigation attorney within its Chicago office. In her new position, she will focus on litigating matters in the areas of real estate development, acquisitions, dispositions, financing, leasing, foreclosures and constructions.
Prior to joining Pircher, Janssen was an associate at Winston & Strawn, LLP. While with Winston & Strawn, Janssen worked on matters involving breach of contract, employment, patent, securities fraud and tax litigation claims. She worked on matters for such clients as JPMorgan Chase & Co., Microsoft Corporation, Cisco Systems, Inc. and Tate & Lyle Ingredients Americas, Inc.
Janssen received her J.D. in 2005 from the University of Wisconsin Law School where she graduated magna cum laude, was a member of the Order of the Coif as well as the note & comment editor of the Wisconsin Law Review. She was the author of “Why Stockholders Should Not Put Too Much Faith in the Duty of Good Faith to Enhance Director Accountability” and finished 4th place in the National Moot Court Competition in 2004. She received her bachelor’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University in 1999.
