Month Long Special Pricing on Remaining Newly Built Designer Homes in Chicago

$15,000 Incentive, Greatly Reduced Prices and Additional Incentives
Available for Homebuyers Sept. 15-Oct. 15

CHICAGO, IL – September 15, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — Those looking to own a great new home in Chicago will have an unparalleled opportunity this fall when the remaining 81 homes in five new Chicago real estate developments will be offered at greatly reduced prices and with great incentives.

From September 15 to October 15, newly built designer homes in some of Chicago’s most centrally located neighborhoods– including Old Town, Bronzeville and North Kenwood– will be offered at a fraction of their original selling price. In addition, all buyers will be given a $15,000 incentive that can be applied to down payment and closing costs, regardless of income.

Homes are now priced between $150,000 and $450,000, and are located near good schools, parks and public transportation. In addition to the incentives and reduced prices of the homes – as much as a 39% reduction from the original price in some cases – each of the developers has its own incentive package worth thousands of dollars more in savings.

Available from Holsten Development, Parkside of Old Town, perched between the Gold Coast and Lincoln Park, has 18 condominiums remaining; at Draper and Kramer’s Lake Park Crescent in North Kenwood, just 15 condominiums are now available; Target Group’s Oakwood Shores development in historic Bronzeville has only three condominiums remaining; available from East Lake Development, Jackson Square at West End, near the Illinois Medical District, only 17 townhomes and condominiums remain; and Stateway Associates’ Park Boulevard development, nestled between IIT and U.S. Cellular Field, has only 28 condominiums and townhomes remaining to be sold.

According to Terry Mazany, president and CEO of The Chicago Community Trust, the current ‘fall special’ wraps up a period of intense buying activity in Chicago. The $15,000 incentives are provided through the Partnership for New Communities (PNC), a nonprofit group of business, civic and foundation leaders focused on bringing economic opportunity to these newly redeveloped communities.

“Over the past few months, more than 80 homes in these communities have been sold,” said Mazany. “We have only a few homes left to sell, so we want to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to buy in these great communities.”

While the developers of the communities are delighted with the sales, the buyers are as well.

“We started our home search in mid-April without a lot of knowledge about how to go about finding a home,” said Adrian Magana, an IT professional who purchased a home at Lake Park Crescent this spring. “With guidance from the PNC adviser, the [home buying] process was very easy to navigate.”
