CHICAGO,IL – October 13, 2011 – (RealEstateRama) — Today, U.S. Representative Mike Quigley (IL-05) announced that he will be hosting two service fairs for the community later this month. The Senior Fair and Foreclosure Assistance Fair are both free to the public and will provide essential services to constituents seeking assistance with medical, insurance, or housing issues.

WHAT: REP. QUIGLEY’S 3rd ANNUAL SENIOR FAIR
WHEN: Thursday, October 20, 2011

Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White’s office will be providing free State ID’s for seniors 65 years and older (proper identification needed). Among several other service providers, Walgreens will also be on hand to administer flu shots, pneumonia vaccines, and blood glucose and blood pressure testing (Medicare or health insurance card needed).

In addition to mortgage lenders, free HUD-approved housing counselors (as well as Polish & Spanish speaking counselors) will be available to answer your questions about loan modifications, the foreclosure process, how to avoid mortgage fraud, and other housing-related issues.
“Public policy can be a long and challenging process in Washington, so I’m focusing on how to make an immediate difference at home in the meantime,” said Quigley. “These events are a great way to get assistance on any number of issues you might be facing, and I hope everyone takes advantage of the opportunity.”
Congressman Quigley’s staff will be available at both events to assist with federal agency issues, such as Medicare, Social Security, veterans benefits, passports/visas, and more.
