WASHINGTON, D.C. - January 09, 2009 - (RealEstateRama) — U.S. Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) today introduced the Helping Families Save Their Homes in Bankruptcy Act, announcing that its passage is a top priority this year. Durbin's bill could help millions of at-risk homeowners prevent foreclosures by allowing them to modify the terms of their mortgages in bankruptcy proceedings.
