Chicago, IL - March 9, 2012 - (RealEstateRama) -- The RE/MAX Northern Illinois real estate network once again led the seven-county metropolitan Chicago real estate market in home sales during the year just ended. RE/MAX agents sold 12,337 listed residences, easily outdistancing any other brokerage organization. RE/MAX has held the number one position, based on listings sold in the metro Chicago real estate market, since area-wide MLS data was first available in 1994.

CHICAGO, IL - February 14, 2012 - (RealEstateRama) -- Home sales in the seven-county metropolitan Chicago real estate market continued their upward momentum in January, led by strong sales gains in five of the collar counties, according to an analysis by RE/MAX. Home sales for the month totaled 4,433 and were 14 percent higher than in January 2011. It was the largest January sales total since 2007 when 5,980 homes changed hands.

An initiative laid out in the Governor’s State of the State address earlier this week, the Illinois Building Blocks Pilot Program will rehabilitate vacant properties and increase affordable housing in the communities of Berwyn, Chicago Heights, Maywood, Park Forest, Riverdale and South Holland.
